The Expectant Father Video Course Review

The Expectant Father Video Course Review
The Expectant Father is an interactive video course hosted by Sympoz.com and taught by father of 3, Armin Brott; An award winning author, Armin has written 8 best selling books about fatherhood, including the book this course is based off of, The Expectant Father.

Sympoz is a new online video learning platform that allows you to watch the video courses whenever you want, and to engage in conversations, ask questions, and get feedback from other users as well as the teacher.

In the Expectant Father course, your husband can ask questions and get answers from other expectant fathers, and from Armin himself.

I found the Sympoz videos to be of excellent quality. The community was very engaging with lots of conversation and this course features excellent research, unique topics, and objective information that is presented in a non-political way; This way, the course fits the needs of most fathers instead of focusing solely on a particular group.

Some general topics covered by this course include:

* The growth and development of the baby
* Labor & delivery
* Assisted reproduction
* Adoption

Some topics more unique to men are also covered, including:

* How to set up a college fund
* The costs of insurance
* Military dads
* How to stay involved during the pregnancy
* Physical and emotional changes that men experience during the pregnancy
* What their role is during pregnancy and after baby is born
* Helping mom with morning sickness, exercise, and nutrition

One subject that I found interesting and was glad was included is how women go through the nesting process and how men can experience nesting as well.

The Expectant father focuses uniquely on the your husband's role, his personal changes, and tips and information that pertain mostly to his point of view. It appeals greatly to men who want some information to watch on their own, without the need for their spouse's input.

Armin also encourages men to do more research, which I appreciated. He not only talks about the changes that you are going through, but also discusses your husband's emotional and physical changes as well.

There were some downsides to the course. My video streaming quality was not completely smooth, even though I watched the course on several occasions, at different times of the day, and with a relatively good internet connection.

There was also some medical information presented in the course that I didn't necessarily agree with, and the information was presented with very little research mentioned; That's why I think it's important to state that this is not a childbirth class and is not meant to give complete medical information, nor is it meant to help you make childbirth decisions or medical decisions.

At $49, it's not exactly cheap. Obviously, it's more than the cost of the book, but I also haven't found anything out there quite like it. The video paired with the interactive community makes it worth the price tag.

Overall, I think this is a great course for dads. The biggest benefit of this course is that it will help your husband learn how to get involved and validate the changes that he is going through. I do recommend it and I believe that your husband will enjoy and appreciate it as well.
